Today’s workplace is no longer defined by its brick and mortar walls, its boundaries are as far reaching as the other side of the world. The buzz words “Global Teams” has taken hold and allows resources to take advantage of the 24 hour clock in delivering to expectations. Global teams include people who come from different cultures, sometimes different companies, and have a common project or effort to complete. Managing global teams is challenging, interesting, rewarding, and frightening at times. What are the challenges and fears managing a global team presents? What are the rewards and why do people do this?

Dr. Margery Mayer is the founder of Strategy & Process Experts, focusing on leadership and organizational effectiveness. A management consultant and behavioral scientist by education, she has spent the last 15 years helping business leaders deliver projects to goals and become more collaborative organizations. Dr. Mayer’s first book “The Virtual Edge” is written about global project management and her second book is the “Executive Accountability for Delivering Value from Technology". Dr. Mayer's third book was on Serial Entrepreneurs of Silicon Valley.
