Dr. Margery Mayer is the founder of Strategy & Process Experts, focusing on leadership and organizational effectiveness. A management consultant and behavioral scientist by education, she has spent the last 15 years helping business leaders deliver projects to goals and become more collaborative organizations. Dr. Mayer’s first book “The Virtual Edge” is written about global project management and her second book is the “Executive Accountability for Delivering Value from Technology". Dr. Mayer's third book was on Serial Entrepreneurs of Silicon Valley.

PMI Silicon Valley Chapter (PMI-SV) (www.pmisv.org) is pleased to announce its 2010 Annual Symposium during September 20-21 in Santa Clara. We are looking forward to meeting our colleagues from Wine Country chapter and hearing some of them give a talk.
We are now inviting submissions from speakers who wish to present a paper at this event. Proposed topics are to be aligned with the symposium theme of:
“Beyond Project Success – Business Success”
Topics that are practical and applicable to individuals and/or organizations are highly encouraged. In addition, preference will be given to papers that reflect:
- Current best practices in Portfolio / Program / Project management
- Descriptions of future developments or trends in the field of project management, or
- Present an illustrative case study.

Rita Mulcahy, Founder of RMC Project Management and the best-selling project management author of all-time, passed away on Saturday, May 15th 2010, from complications related to a five-year battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC). She was 50. Rita leaves behind husband Tim Mulcahy, current Vice-President and Chief Legal Counsel for RMC, and two children, ages 7 and 5.
